WASHINGTON - The coronavirus outbreak is likely to drop Chinese oil demand by 250,000 barrels a day over the first three months of the year, analysts at the research firm Wood Mackenzie warned Coronavirus travel restrictions in China are hitting demand for oil used in jet fuel. Chinese demand for jet fuel and other transportation fuels are expected to be most significantly affected by the coronavirus incident, as travel within — as well as to and from — the country slows amid quarantine measures and public health concerns.
